This is how Art Week was experienced at Montserrat Messeguer with the works of Miranda Varo and Gregory Thrasher.

Así se vivió el ART WEEK en Montserrat Messeguer con las obras de Miranda Varo & Gregory Thrasher

At Montserrat Messeguer, we joined Latin America's largest celebration of contemporary art, design, and avant-garde, which took place from February 7 to 11.

With events held from the emblematic Roma neighborhood to the successful 20th edition of ZONA MACO at the CitiBanamex Center , thousands of people witnessed the effort, dedication, and great work of artists who have reinvented art in our country in recent decades.
The Centro, Juárez, Polanco, and Reforma neighborhoods were also part of this fascinating exhibition that showcased Mexican and international talent and has helped redefine the cultural landscape in Mexico during Art Week.
The entire MM team is incredibly proud to be part of this explosion of creativity and to see how art filled all the galleries, exhibitions, museums, expositions, and fashion stores in Mexico City. That's why we decided to open a pop-up gallery from February 8th to 11th at our Flagship Store in the Roma Norte neighborhood, located at Durango 208 , to showcase the incredible works of Miranda Varo ( @mirandavaroo ) and Gregory Thrasher ( @gregorythrasher ).
Miranda, with her irreverent and colorful style, transported us to life on the Mexico-U.S. border with pieces like “ Mi Casa ,” “ Just Like My Dad ,” Monopoly, ” and “ Nothing Is Wasted in This House .” It was clear to us that the girlies of the North know exactly what they're doing!
On the other hand, Gregory Thrasher, a visual artist, musician and designer born in El Paso, Texas, and currently residing in New York City, surprised us with his multidisciplinary approach in his series of works “ Los Payasos ” and “ Los Chiflados ” that reflect his talent in painting, sculpture and performance.
But our pop-up gallery was more than just a space to showcase the work of these two artists, whom we greatly admire; it was an experience where art, fashion, the northern spirit, and life on the border fused to create a unique atmosphere.
On the opening night, the music was provided by Danni Dansen ( @danni_dannsen ), a German DJ who made us vibrate and dance from start to finish.
Thanks for joining us for ART WEEK 2024 in the coolest city in the world! See you next year! 🤍
