We are aware that fashion in Mexico is very well represented. Every year, designers, editors, and stylists surprise us with their talent and boldness, demonstrating the richness and cultural diversity of our country.
That's why Fashion Group International Mexico City held a new edition of Night of Stars, an event that seeks to recognize the most prominent figures in the Mexican fashion industry. Guests included Kris Goyri, Carla Fernandez, Juan de Dios Ramirez, Beto Escamilla, Majo Guzmán, Montserrat Messeguer, and Lydia Lavín.
As presenter of the Designer of the Year award, Majo Aguilar, dressed in a full Montserrat Messeguer look, sang an excerpt from the famous mariachi song "El Rey," changing the lyrics and message to allude to Montserrat Messeguer's iconic boots.
Montserrat Messeguer is a tribute to Mexican culture, and when talent and passion come together, only great rewards can be expected. That is why we congratulate Montserrat Messeguer for being awarded Designer of the Year. We are deeply moved that a designer of her caliber represents Mexican design at an international level.
